Why not Party in the Park on Bower Day?
So you’ve seen the procession, enjoyed the street performers and browsed around the street stalls? Now is the time to head to Beacon Park for the Lichfield Bower Party in the Park.
We’ve excelled ourselves this year to bring you a brilliantly entertaining selection of activities, stalls and performances, FREE radio will be hosting the afternoons events where in the main arena local trampoline club G Force will be putting on a superb show to wow the crowds, Bill Heslop returns with his sheep dog show, and World Record Breakers 360 Mountain Bike team will be showcasing their tricks and skills. Broke Freestyle Motorcross will also be entertaining the crowds in the main arena with displays incorporating the latest heart stopping tricks as usually only seen on TV. Between displays the public are invited to the interactive stand where they can get a closer look at the bikes and meet the riders.
Bower favourites including the Pat Collins Fun Fair, water spheres, quad bikes,paintball and Bob Park is bringing his amazing birds of prey from the Armitage Bird of Prey Centre – sure to entertain young and old.
For 2013 we’ve introduced the Music event staged in Beacon Park from midday till 5pm, bringing you some of the most talented performers in Lichfield from the Rock Choir to brass bands, acoustic sets and drum workshops.
Back by popular demand is Scruffs Dog Show the dog show that awards prizes to mongrels and pedigrees alike. Think your dog is a bit of star? Why not enter Scruffs 2013? Great prizes on offer from Moorlands Pet Foods and Handsome Hounds and a rosette for every pooch taking part!
Blue Strawberry Boutiques will have their own area crammed with fabulous Boutiques full of bag brimming, beautiful booty from the some of the best designers, artist and traders in the area from vintage fashion, home styling products, collectables, designer made goods for you, your children and even your even your doggy! We have our very own master of the mix offering mocktails and smoothies and a little somewhere to relax, shop and a little bite to eat. Always something new and some music too! There’s plenty of food stalls to choose from, but if you’d rather bring a picnic, there’s a special area set aside for al fresco eating. Bring along deckchairs and blankets and make a day of it!
Party in the Park takes place in Beacon Park from 12-5pm.
